Who is BPN?
Payment institution application made to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) in 2014 of BPN Danışmanlık A.Ş. founded in 2012, resulted in the approval of the operating license on 8 August 2015, and as a result, its new title was published in the Official Gazette on 12 August 2015 as BPN Payment Institution A.Ş. and entered into force.
Afterwards, the company continued its development by transforming into BPN Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Hizmetleri A.Ş., with the bill payments brokerage license and electronic money services application which it received on May 14, 2019. As of January 22, 2021, the "E-money" license application was approved by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, and the decision to expand the scope of the operating license of BPN Ödeme ve Elektronik Para Hizmetleri A.Ş. was published in the Official Gazette.
